Volunteers Needed for the Harpoon 5-Miler to help Fight ALS!

Harpoon 5 Miler

9th Annual Harpoon 5-Miler registration opened on Friday April 2nd and sold out quickly. If you missed the opportunity to run in the race, you can still help out by volunteering.  (I’m running it for the second year in a row..)

The race will take place on Saturday, June 5th at our brewery in Boston. Volunteer duties will include helping with registration, handing out water at water stops, and various other jobs along the course.

ABOUT ALS ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a fatal neuro-degenerative disease characterized by muscle weakness and a progressive wasting and paralysis of the muscles. This cause holds special significance for the brewery as Harpoon lost Gordon Heald, a founding investor, to ALS in 1997. Last year, our race raised over $66,000 for the Angel Fund.
