Review - Rock Bottom Brewery - San Diego's Point Break Pale Ale
In search for the Stone Brewery, after gallivanting through the amazing Petco Park (home of the San Diego Padres), we stumbled upon the Rock Bottom Brewery. We were quite pleased with the location and atmosphere; but as you will see in the 8 reviews, the beer could not stand up to a bud light.
The appearance was quite impressive. Great lacing and amazing light brown head that was fully diminishing. Light amber and clear body in appearance. The nose detected a hoppy aroma with hints of flowery hops. Initially light bitter and increasing into a moderately bitter taste for an average duration. Light body with soft carbonation and watery texture. This ale did not have much of a taste and left the palate rather dry.
At the end of the 8 beer sampler, there wasn't a single beer that Sean wanted to drink a pint of. It was quite depressing
