Review - Rock Bottom Brewery - San Diego's Championship Ale
In search for the Stone Brewery, after gallivanting through the amazing Petco Park (home of the San Diego Padres), we stumbled upon the Rock Bottom Brewery. We were quite pleased with the location and atmosphere; but as you will see in the 8 reviews, the beer could not stand up to a bud light.
The appearance was quite impressive. Great lacing and amazing off while head that was fully diminishing. Light yellow and clear in body, the nose couldn't detect anything spectacular. The initial acidic taste was followed by a light bitter finish for an average duration. The light watery body was accompanied by soft carbonation on the palate. True champions wouldn't be found anywhere close to this ale.
At the end of the 8 beer sampler, there wasn't a single beer that Sean wanted to drink a pint of. It was quite depressing
