Review - Matt Brewing Company's Summer Brew

"For nearly 100 years, Europeans have mixed lemonade and beer as a refreshing beverage during the summer months. We continue this tradition with Saranac Summer Brew-A refreshing blend of lemonade and lager. Kick back, relax and enjoy!" -- F.X. Matt Brewing Company

Pale yellow color with brilliant clarity. Bright white head with a short duration. Very still body. Quick blast of lemon after the pour that disappears quickly. Aroma is very akin to ginger ale. Initial taste is immediately and intensely soda sweet, tapering off to a lemony finish with just a touch of tartness. Watery body with some slight sugary stickiness. Active carbonation. Having been a fan of shandy myself (ian) since I was a wee lad in England, this is a refreshing remix of the style. Highly drinkable, very refreshing, bright enough and low enough in alcohol to be a tremendous summer sipper...or gulper.
