Review - Nashoba Winery's IPA
"Our IPA isn’t only about bitterness, tons of hop flavor and aroma cling to a malty brew. Try paired with your favorite cheese or salad." -- Nashoba Winery
The IPA pours cloudy light amber and settles dark yellow. The first pour settled clear and the second pour settled cloudy with a small light brown frothy head. Although it was a mostly diminishing head, there was good lacing. The nose detected a moderately malty aroma with hints of sweet malts and hops. It wasn't a very distinct aroma, but it smelt good. Initially light bitter, the bitterness taste increased into a moderately bitter taste for an average duration. Light to medium oily body with lively carbonation on the palate. The bottled contained a lot of sediment. Since we are hop heads, we were a little disappointed in this IPA. It tasted good and was malty, but not as hoppy as we were expecting. It's a good starter for a novice IPA drinker.
