Review - Middle Age's Dragonslayer Imperial Stout
"Brewed in the style of a Russian Imperial Stout. Strong, chocolatety and aggressively hopped with finest English hops." -- Middle Ages Brewing
To slay the dragon, all you would have to do is feed it some of this stout. Weighing in at 9.5% abv, it's an ass-kicker. It pours a deep coffee color with an average, light-brown head. Good lacing over a fully diminishing head. Murky body. Aroma is of Twizzlers (the red ones), toasted malts, and alcohol. Initial taste is moderately sweet with coffee notes, shifting to a light bitter finish with some bite and an average duration. Light to medium on the mouth, it is watery with lively carbonation. Taste does not mask the alcohol. If you don't like stouts, you would not enjoy this beer.
