Review - Flying Dog Brewery's In-Heat Wheat Ale
"She taunts and teases with confidence and flair, she struts passed until she gets a chin dropping "holy shit" stare. In-Heat Wheat is a flavorful German Hefeweizen (Hefe). Malted white wheat is added to the beer to create a smooth, full mouth-feel. During fermentation a proprietary yeast is introduced to develop this beer's unique flavor profile which is reminiscent of bananas and cloves. Our Hefe is a feel good beer, the kind that makes you reflect on what a wonderfully diverse world we live in. If you like the finer things in life without all the bullshit pretensions, you're going to love this beer." -- Flying Dog Brewery
The In-Heat Wheat pours a light, cloudy color. The head does not linger long on the glass. This Ale is fruity, but not overpowering. It is smooth drinking without a strong aftertaste. Despite the head disappearing quickly, the residue lingers on the glass. There is a faint hint of lemon. This is Flying Dog's unfiltered offering.
