Review - Dogfish Head Brewery's Aprihop
"Brewed with luscious apricots, finished with whole-leaf hops. A "fruit beer for hop heads..." Ale Street News." -- Dogfish Head Brewery
We definitely enjoyed this one. It pours a light amber color with a small, off-white fizzy head. Sparkling body, fully-diminishing head with no lacing. Aroma is very distinguishable with a significant apricot presence, accentuated with moderately sweet hops. Initial taste is a light bitter, flourishing into a medium bitter at the finish that hangs around. Light on the mouth, it leaves us somewhere between oily and creamy, with fizzy carbonation.
Reviewer's notes: "More apricot in the taste than the smell, more hops in the smell than the taste, not as hoppy as expected"
