September is a very busy month for beer lovers. There’s almost too many beer events to go to, all in a short period of time. If you’re looking for something to do, maybe one of these events will spark your interest:

Sept 11 – 20: New York Craft Beer Festival

Sept 11 – Blue Hills Oktoberfest:

Sept 11-12: Beer Summit – Sam Adams Oktoberfest

The friday Oktoberfest Reception is an evening package that includes 4 beers, your stein, live traditional German music, games, specialty beers, the ceremonial tapping of the keg and our benefactor Jim Koch to kick it off. The reception is from 5-10pm, 9/11/09. Get Friday Tickets

Saturday all day OctoberFest is a 10 hour long traditional German Beer Hall event, with two live bands all day, table games, over 10 different styles of Sam Adams beer available at the bar, and a great Beer Summit time. The OctoberFest is from 12-10pm

Sept 12: Lowell Ribs n Brew Festival:

Lowell Ribs N Brew

The Ribs N Brew is back after taking a year off and is ready to get back where they left off. The name has changed JAMBRA (Jackson, Appleton & Middlesex Business & Residents’s Association). The festival has moved to Lowell’s downtown area. The festival will take place at Jackson Street. There will be great food, music, live entertainment and terrific BREWS. The festival has been expanded to include some new vendor booths, farmer’s market and a tremendous line-up of popular bands. Event Details:

Saturday September 12, 2009. Jackson Street. 4pm – Midnight. Microbrew Tasting Championship Challenge: 6pm to 9 pm.

Sept 19: Fall Riverfront Beer Fest at the Haverhill TAP

Haverhill Brewery Riverfront Brewfest

Our 4th Annual Haverhill Brewery Riverfront brewfest is September 19th! We’re having 2 sessions – 12:30 – 4 p.m. and 5:30 – 9 p.m. Tickets are $29 and must be purchased through ticketalternative.com. This year we’re featuring over 20 different microbreweries from the area. Ticket price includes souvenir tasting glass, live music, the chance to try beer from all sorts of great breweries, and 2 oz. samples. We’re also planning to have a sneak preview of our Joshua Norton Imperial Stout down in the cask cellar. Big Jim of WFNX will be DJ’ing and doing giveaways at the first session! We strongly recommend taking the commuter rail up from Boston or down from Portland. You can see The TAP right from the train stop!

We’ll update as we get the paperwork.

Sept 26: Maine Lakes Brew Fest at Point Sebago Resort, Maine

6TH Annual Maine Lakes Brew Fest – Come Join The Fun

Point Sebago is proud to host the Greater Bridgton Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce Annual Brew Fest on Sat. Sept 26, 2009 11am – 5pm. This is the area’s biggest party and it will be held in conjunction with Oktoberfest weekend at the Resort. The Saturday celebration will feature Maine made beers, micro brews and wines, live music, plus a craft fair featuring dozens of Maine artisans.

This is your chance to sample the best brews and wine in Maine. Great music, awesome food and the Point Sebago Craft Fair are a few of the highlights.
