Reviews 04-16-08: Smutty Baltic Porter & Lagunitas Shut-Down Ale

It has been way too long since our last review. Last Wednesday, Ian and I decided to get back into action with a quick 2 beer review.
We decided on the Smuttynose Baltic Porter and the Lagunitas Undercover Investigation Shut-Down Ale. Both were enjoyed from 22 oz bottles.

Follow up from “I Love Maine Beer”.com

Hi Sean
Thanks for answering my questions! I didn’t realize how close you guys were! Stone is awesome, I was out there in February and loved it. My favorite beer at the brewery was actually a Ballast Point beer called Victory At Sea. It was an unbelievable Imperial Stout.

Publick House

I can only hope that everyone is passionate about something in their life. For me, at this moment, I’m passionate about beer. Not just about drinking it, but writing about it, talking about, and educating others about it. As I write this, I’m sitting at the Redhook Cataqua Publick House in Portsmouth. I look around, [...]

Once I started thinking about it, I guess we all do. It’s easier to think that you will be able to reach all [...]

Lowell Ribs and Brew Fest 2007

The air smelled of smoke from a bar-b-que as you approached the event. Immediately, upon entering, we headed for Firefly’s BBQ and I [...]

Back to the CBC for cask night

After several weeks away (due to schedules and crazy hot weather than makes me not want to walk 15 minutes before I get to a pub), I ventured back to the CBC for a couple of pints afer work today. First I had a Bitchin Bitter. This crisp, lightly bitter offering was a great beer [...]
